Hello,

Would you consider implementing GAFOR for countries where this is available?

I am sure it exists at least for Germany, Switzerland, France, and Austria.

It would be a definite benefit for weather overview.

Thank you.

GAFOR stands for General Aviation FORcast and it is a graphical summary of different VFR conditions for different regions.

It gives you values

O - open

D - difficult

M - marginal

X - closed

depending on a combination of ceiling and visibility.

Have a look at http://www.zobel.ch/ppl/flugrouten/

The Germans took it to excellency displaying Germany as a color-coded map where green is OK and red is a NO-GO.

It is very easy to use and very useful.

Though, I have no idea whether the information is free of charge (as I am using it from a payware source that integrates weather briefing from different sources) and how easy it would be to automatise it.
